Privacy Policy

Last updated: June 27, 2026

This policy describes the dashboard website. Discord's own services are governed by the Discord Privacy Policy.

1. Overview

This Privacy Policy explains how TheMockGov Bot Political Dashboard collects, uses, and protects information when you use the website.

The dashboard is a community political-simulation service for Discord servers. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by Discord, any real central bank, or any government agency.

2. Information We Collect

When you sign in with Discord, the dashboard receives basic Discord account information such as your Discord user ID, username, avatar hash, and the Discord servers you share with the bot.

For participating communities, the dashboard may process server information such as Discord server IDs, server names, icons, member counts, role IDs, member display names, usernames, avatar hashes, permissions, and role membership needed to verify access and power dashboard features.

Authorized users may create or manage simulation data such as parties, offices, maps, jurisdictions, candidates, races, votes, certified results, companies, permission grants, setup data, display settings, and audit records.

The dashboard may also use standard technical information generated by your browser or hosting provider, such as request metadata, error logs, timestamps, and IP-derived security signals.

3. How We Use Information

We use information to authenticate users, verify Discord membership and permissions, display community dashboards, operate administrative tools, publish public community summaries when enabled, prevent abuse, troubleshoot issues, and maintain service security.

We do not use dashboard data to provide banking, lending, government, or central-bank services.

4. Cookies and Local Storage

The dashboard uses a session cookie named frpd_user to keep you signed in and a short-lived OAuth state cookie named frpd_oauth_state during Discord sign-in.

The dashboard stores your theme preference in local storage under frpd-theme. The dashboard does not intentionally use third-party advertising cookies.

5. Sharing and Public Data

Community administrators can enable public dashboard publishing. Published data may be visible to users who are not signed in, including public community summaries, maps, offices, parties, races, candidates, and certified results.

The dashboard may exchange information with Discord to complete sign-in, verify server membership, retrieve roles, search members for administrative workflows, and generate links to Discord-hosted avatars or server icons. Discord handles information it receives under its own privacy policy.

We may share information with hosting, database, logging, security, or infrastructure providers that help operate the service. We may also disclose information when required by law or necessary to protect users, communities, or the service.

We do not sell personal information collected through the dashboard.

6. Retention

Dashboard records are retained for as long as needed to operate participating communities, preserve simulation history, maintain auditability, comply with legal obligations, or resolve disputes.

Session cookies remain until they expire, are cleared, or you sign out. Community administrators may remove or update server-owned records through dashboard tools where available.

7. Your Choices

You can sign out of the dashboard, clear cookies and local storage in your browser, revoke dashboard access from your Discord account settings, or stop using the service.

For corrections or removal of server-owned simulation records, contact the administrators of the Discord community that owns the data. Discord account data is controlled by Discord and can be managed through Discord.

8. Children

The dashboard is intended for users who are old enough to use Discord in their region. Do not use the dashboard if you are not allowed to use Discord.

9. Security

We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect dashboard information, including server-side authorization checks and scoped access to server-owned records.

No online service can guarantee perfect security. Please report suspected security issues to the dashboard administrators.

10. Changes and Contact

We may update this Privacy Policy as the dashboard changes. Continued use of the dashboard after an updated policy is posted means you accept the updated policy.

For questions about this Privacy Policy, contact the dashboard administrators through the Discord community where you use the service.
